La Garrotxa will hold up the Oxfam Trailwalker 2012 - 20/12/2011

The challenge to be held on 5 and 6 May 2012, is that teams of four people turn to walk a stretch of 100 miles of the Greenway Carrilet a maximum of 32 hours. The participating teams are committed to getting donations to support over 400 projects that Oxfam carries out worldwide.

logo trailwalkerThe march Trailwalker is the biggest challenge the world for sports teams to fight poverty, with annual editions in 12 countries: Hong Kong, Canada, Britain, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Ireland, France and Spain (in 2012 India will be added). Thousands of people around the world participate each year in the Trailwalker, which has raised over its history of 70 million.

Distance: 100 km from Olot - Girona - Sant Feliu de Guixols (Costa Brava).
Maximum time: 32 hours
Equipment: 4 + 2 people who walk team support vehicle.
Start: Saturday, May 5 in Olot.
Objective: donations to Oxfam projects (€ 1,500 per team).
Registration: in the section on "Sign your team" the website of the event.
